St. Vincent de Paul Update
From October 2024 through June 2025, our St. Vincent de Paul ministry was blessed to assist 23 families with both pantry staples and fresh food. During this time, we distributed approximately 65 bags of non-perishable food from our pantry and spent about $2,300 on fresh food items.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated St. Vincent de Paul members who gather food from the pantry, shop for fresh items, and personally bring them to families in need.
We are deeply grateful for the generous support of our St. Cyril parishioners. Your kindness makes this work possible and allows us to respond with love when families reach out for help.
God bless you all!
The Saint Vincent de Paul Conference at Saint Cyril is blessed to be part of God’s work of mercy in our local community. We would like to share one recent story that reflects the kind of support your generosity makes possible.
We were recently contacted by a father with a 3-year-old child. His wife works full time, but the family is struggling to make ends meet on a single income. The father has diabetes and has undergone multiple surgeries, including the removal of three toes. He now faces the possibility of losing another. He is currently on partial disability and looking for work that doesn’t require physical labor, as mobility has become a serious challenge.
Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to assist this family several times with fresh food, and once with a utility bill to help keep their home warm and safe.
Situations like these are difficult—but because of St Cyril Parishioners and all of you, we are able to offer hope and relief. Thank you for your continued generosity and prayers. Together, we truly are sharing in the works of mercy.
The St. Cyril Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul embodies the spirit of community, friendship, and service. United in faith, our members dedicate themselves to supporting those in need within our local area. Our home visitors play a vital role, providing compassionate assistance and bringing hope to those facing hardship.
At our monthly meetings, we discuss important topics such as food pantry operations, home visit improvements, and the needs of the families we serve. We also actively participate in community events, including our beloved annual Omelet/Pancake Breakfast, and collaborate with the Knights of Columbus to extend our outreach.
Every act of generosity—big or small—reflects Christ’s presence in the world. We welcome anyone interested in making a difference to join us!
Meeting Time: Second Sunday of each month at 9:15 AM
Location: Fireside Room, St. Cyril Parish
