    RENOVATION UPDATE

    Dear Parishioners,
In September of last year, we presented our parish community with a vision for a significant remodeling of the church and invited your input.  These plans are to make the church not only more functionally accommodating, welcoming, and ADA compliant, but to also create a more sacred space that reflects and fosters our encounter with the mysteries of our Catholic faith.  A Catholic church is not just a worship space, it is, rather the Domus Dei et porta coeli – the house of God and gate of Heaven.  All who enter a Catholic church are invited to experience both the transcendence and majesty of God while, in the same moment, his nearness and intimacy.

Since receiving your input at that meeting last fall, we have been at work in refining plans and designs and are now actively preparing to conduct a planning study later this year to test the potential financial support for making the vision a reality by means of a capital campaign.  We have retained the Steier Group, a leading Catholic fundraising firm, to assist us in conducting the study.  While the official start date for the five-week study is not yet set, we are making progress in our preparations.  You will learn more in the coming weeks and, as we launch the study, you will receive an invitation to participate to provide us your feedback.

    In Christ,

    Father Ted Prentice
    Pastor
